The smell of wood-fired pizza and smoked BBQ meats waft through the air around Rossotti’s Alpine Inn
in Portola Valley. Now a restaurant and beer garden, the historical structure was built in the 1850’s serving as a roadhouse and saloon at a busy crossroad in the Peninsula hills. Many equestrian activities happen in Rossotti’s quiet forested surroundings, hence the “Horse Parking” area, complete with small hay bales. I enjoyed a piping hot Margherita pizza and a pint of Juicy IPA on a sunny afternoon dining outside with my hubby. Cheers!
